With 35 years of experience, physical fitness specialist John Alexander has made a name in the wellness field. He received training in exercise science and nutritional programming at the Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research in Dallas, TX. Every year, he attends the Cooper Institute to maintain his certification and to keep abreast of new developments in preventive medicine.
Alexander’s fitness, nutritional, and educational programs have been highlighted on CNN Medical News, the Today Show, USA Today, and several national publications.
His nutrition and exercise programs are designed to naturally increase the body’s metabolism. He explains why starvation diets, overtraining, and meal skipping does not enhance long-term weight management goals.
In 1996, John was coauthor and technical adviser in recipe development for the 1st and 2nd edition of Liten-Up for Life, a 14-day meal planner cookbook. He developed a majority of the recipes and used them over 7 years at Tennessee Fitness Spa.
Alexander is happily married to his wife Stacie and has two sons, Codie and Taylor.
